Rubber band legs and cotton candy brains Steadfastness left trashed when I let the time pass too fast. In just a minute, the whole world can pass; while hours can drift by with nothing on full blast. I light up a cigarette in bed, looking at the glowing stars above my head. They're clinging to the ceiling with silly putty; the baked things you do with friends. And at that same time, as the clock hits nine, a rocket ship takes to the night sky. The people inside see Earth become a blue round ball, before hitting zero gravity and coming back into free fall. All the while, I’ve done nothing at all; except surf the brain waves and the static, looking at these four walls.
